Psilocybe stuntzii

The cap grows 1-2” across, with a brownish color. Hygrophanous in nature, the edges darken as it dries out. Turning olive brown to greenish in color. It stains green to blue especially on the annulus. The gills are yellowish brown & tend to darken with age. Growing up to 3” tall. The stipe is whitish & will darkening with age. Rarely seen solidary. Has ~0.5% Tryptamine content in dried fruit. Found in the pacific Northwest. Found from July to December. Lookalikes Galerina marginata & Deconica inquilina
