Description
1. Fruiting body: The fruiting body of Cordyceps militaris is cylindrical or club-shaped, measuring 2-8 cm long and 2-4 mm thick. It is usually orange-red or yellow-orange in color.
2. Stipe: The stipe of Cordyceps militaris is slender and cylindrical, measuring 1-3 cm long and 0.3-0.6 mm thick. It is usually white or pale yellow in color.
3. Host: Cordyceps militaris typically infects moth and butterfly larvae, but can also infect other insects and arthropods.
4. Habitat: Cordyceps militaris is typically found in temperate regions of Asia, Europe, and North America.
